Prof. António J.M. Ferreira from University of Porto Appointed as WUT Visiting Professor

Professor António J.M. Ferreira from the University of Porto, Portugal, was appointed as WUT.visiting professor. The ceremony was held on May 24th at WUT.

　　Professor Li Shuxin introduced Professor António J.M. Ferreira's academic experience and achievements. WUT Vice President Wang Qiankun presented the Letter of Appointment to Professor António JM Ferreira and congratulated him on joining WUT. He hopes that Professor António JM Ferreira will actively promote the construction of our compound materials subject and base, guide the growth of young teachers in materials and continuously improve the school's social reputation and international influence.

　　Prof. António JM Ferreira said he was honored to be a member of Wuhan University of Technology and would establish long-term cooperative relationship with WUT in the field of composite materials mechanics and structural design research tol guide students to carry out academic research and strengthen academic exchanges and international cooperation between WUT and the University of Porto through joint application projects, to promote the international construction process of WUT’s composite materials.

　　Prof. António J.M. Ferreira is a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Porto, Portugal and vice dean of the Faculty of Engineering. He is mainly engaged in the research of composite materials and has high attainments in the field of composite mechanical engineering.
