Nature Conference on Materials for Energy 2016 Held in WUT

　　From June 12 to June 14, 2016, cosponsored by Nature, Nature Energy and Nature Materials, Nature Conference on Materials for Energy 2016 was held WUT. A total of more than 500 registered participants, including scholars, students and business representatives in the related fields from China, the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Australia, South Korea, Japan and other 29 countries and regions attended the Conference.

　　In the opening ceremony, President Zhang Qingjie delivered welcoming remarks, and expressed good wishes to the Conference. Vice President Zeng Chunnian attended, and Professor Mai Liqiang of WUT was the chairman of the Conference. There are three topic sessions including electrochemical energy storage and conversion, solar energy conversion and new materials and devices; 6 Plenary Lectures, 29 invited lectures, 40 oral presentations and 221 poster presentations were organized; more than 10 enterprises in energy materials and related fields participated in the exhibition.

　　During the Conference, Professor PG Bruce from Oxford University, tenured professor Wang Zhonglin from Georgia Institute of Technology, Professor Bruce Dunn from the University of California, Los Angeles, Professor Michael Graetzel from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, professor Yang Peidong from UC Berkeley, Professor Nam-Gyu from Sungkyunkwan University and other international scholars made wonderful invited reports at the Conference.

Three-day international conference was filled with academic atmosphere, and provided a good academic exchange platform for the internationally acclaimed scholars in the field of energy materials, showed the latest achievements of energy materials, further strengthened academic exchanges in the field of energy materials between Chinese researchers and international counterparts, created opportunities for domestic scholars and students to understand and learn the leading topics in the field.

　　It is reported that this Conference is the first international conference in the field of material held in China by Nature Conference, and the first one to set sessions, and the number of participants in the largest in Nature Conference series Conference and it is also a grand conference with international influence in the field of energy materials.
